How do you convert Morettes for Continental driving?
#1
I am planning a trip to the mainland & was hoping to take the Scooby, unfortunately I am not quite sure how to covert the beam to stop dazzling other drivers. Can someone please help?

Hi Nib.
Which type of car do you have? Classic or MY01 onwards?
I've got Morettes on a my MY99 Scooby and ChrisL / Scoobychick have them on an MY01. We both went to Spain for the Cataluyna rally in March.
Chris L got some stick on convertors via a Subaru dealer (IIRC).
I got some of the bog standard stick on ones from Halfords (£5). The Cibie lamps in my conversion are marked where to stick them - you need to cut them down, although they are 'grooved' out for this. A 10 minute job when we did them once off the ferry.
HTH,
Chris.

Correct!
I got them from Lavender Hill, so it should be possible to get them at your local dealer. If not contact Shark (David) - the Servicing Manager at LH.
Cheers

5p of gaffer tape will also do the job.
Park up near a wall and blank off the beam to see where the left flares come out and then cover this part with a small triangle of tape.
I didn't bother when I went to Catalunya.
