red bulb , where can i get one

I have an import and want to replace one of the reverse lights and change to a fog .
I have tried everywhere for a red bulb to fit the stanard reverse bulb unit.
Does anyone now any maunfactureres , websites that make them

You could always paint a standard bulb I've seen nail varnish used before. Or watered down paint.
But...
aren't Rear fog lights really bright? Not sure you can just use the original bulb holder as it won't be up for the current.

Fog lamp = 21w
Reverse lamp = 21w
VW's have this problem with coloured rear lamps for Mk2's as these are mostly made for LHD cars, your local VW specailist (there a enought of them belive me...) should be able to supply one for about a nugget...
P.s. Nail varnish burns off in minutes...

I bought some bulb paint-about£6 but it takes ages to do as you have to keep applying paint then heating in oven and mibne took 6 coats before it shone anything other than pink.I then found out that some Audis have red bulbs,so try a dealers.

Your best bet is to colour the lens and use a white bulb.
Better still just fit an extra fog light on the offside, that way you'll be able to mount it as far to the right as possible which is the point of it really - so people can see where the right hand edge of the car is.
