You could always paint a standard bulb I've seen nail varnish used before. Or watered down paint.

But...

aren't Rear fog lights really bright? Not sure you can just use the original bulb holder as it won't be up for the current.

On a serious note, fit a brake light bulb (clear) and paint the inside of the lens with nail varnish, thats what i had to do....

Fog lamp = 21w

Reverse lamp = 21w

VW's have this problem with coloured rear lamps for Mk2's as these are mostly made for LHD cars, your local VW specailist (there a enought of them belive me...) should be able to supply one for about a nugget...

P.s. Nail varnish burns off in minutes...

I bought some bulb paint-about£6 but it takes ages to do as you have to keep applying paint then heating in oven and mibne took 6 coats before it shone anything other than pink.I then found out that some Audis have red bulbs,so try a dealers.

Dealers proberbly not, but one of the inderpents should have them as you need them for the blue/green/clear/black rear lamps on a Mk2.

Your best bet is to colour the lens and use a white bulb.

Better still just fit an extra fog light on the offside, that way you'll be able to mount it as far to the right as possible which is the point of it really - so people can see where the right hand edge of the car is.
