Default Should my 2001 classic uk turbo 2000 have an alarm as standard?

I just bought myself a 2001 x plate classic and it doesn't have a fob to unlock the doors at all. I have to use the key.
My previous scoobs had the sigma fob and alarm...

This car has the key pad in the glove box do I'm not sure if it should have an alarm or not?

Any ideas?

Either way, is there a way to fit/refit/buy a fob?

Thanks

Sounds like it has been disabled / removed, the keypad in the glove box would point to the usual Sigma jobby fitted by Subaru UK when it comes off the boat.
