ive changed the engine in my sport na to a 2.5 quad cam leggy engine, now the immobiliser kicks in after 7-10 seconds, you can rev the engine fine but after 7-10 seconds just dies,

BUT it was working fine and we did a complete rally in her, and drove it for about a week after with no issues, appart from having to override the fuel pump.

i have a rally next weekend and doesnt look promising that we will be getting enough time to install the standalone management system we have to go in, so looks like if we cant find a cure using the standard management and loom then we will have to pull out??

any ideas?

the ecu, loom, barrel, imm, transponder etc are all original to the car, only thing changed is the engine

Have you checked the transponder is still in the key?

I know this is obvious but it has happened
