Bug JDM HID's
Hi,
purchased some HID's from here and should get delivered in a few days. THe seller has just unplugged these from the loom and is sending across.
I have a UK bugeye - do I need anything special for these?
Do I not need any ballasts etc? The power to drive these come from the normal loom or what?
thanks guys

The lights should come with the ballasts, if not they won't work until you get some. I wired some nissan ones in to my loom to make them work.
They are not straight plug and play unfortunately. The leveler circuit is completely different using more wires and different plugs. The side lights and indicator swap straight over, but the standard lights have a H4 bulb which has main and dipped beam on the same plug whereas you need to split the feeds for the main and dipped (via the ballast) electrics on STI lights.
I have made up quite a few sets of looms for these and even had people come and see me to have them fitted. I haven't cracked the leveler loom yet but that is down to time more than anything else.
When they turn up see whether or not you have the ballast and I can advise you from there
