First off, if you are going to have gauges, at least fit the senders where Subaru wanted them:
The oil PRESSURE goes in the tappings on the front of the block where the OE oil pressure switch is, either direct, or if it won't fit, or you want the OE light as WELL, via an extension/remote pipe.
The oil TEMPERATURE goes into the tappings on top of cylinder No3, which is presently covered by a metal threaded bung with an 8MM hex socket cast in it. Cylinder No3 is the rear one, o/s.
Failure to put the senders where they should be will result in readings not being the optimum....what's the point of that?
If your o/p sender is large, and/or you want the light too, buy a remote o/p fitting kit.
You also need an adaptor for the tappings for the o/t sender, your gauge dealer ought to be able to supply one. About £5.
And lastly, there is neither oil, nor water in an intercooler.Or at least, not MUCH oil.....
