Default Replacement Bulbs/LED's for MY99 Dash

im looking to replace the bulbs in my UK MY99 dash binnacle as they are quite dull, and 1 or 2 have blown also including the clock.

anybody able to pinpoint the bulbs i need (on ebay) so that i can order them & have them to hand when i go swap them out

Cheers

The 98 dash uses W%W aka 501 bulbs, capless, like these: http://www.google.co.uk/imgres?q=w5w...1t:429,r:0,s:0

I think the 99 is the same, but ask.

On mine there were 6 of those in the instruemnt cluster, I swapped 'em all out when one went, the others had blued over alarmingly.......maybe what's making yours dim.

LIke for like.

I'm not a big fan of LED's, the colours are wrong and they don't give the all-round light that instrument cluster bulbs require.

The so-called "white" LEDs are a very blue-white, so I reckon it would change the colour of the green dash, if only slightly.

Instruments out, around ten minutes if you've done it before, and change ALL the lighting bulbs for new while they are out.

Tip: make sure getting them out, or back in, doesn't flick the parking light switch.......and flatten the battery like I did.
