Default Programming Mode

Hi guys

I've posted on here before about my remote key fobs not working.
I've checked all locations for a keypad, to no avail.

I've tried to program from the dash [turn key 10 times etc.]

Just can't get it to even enter programming mode.

Also, just found out my power locks aren't working from inside the vehicle?

Any ideas? It's a 2005WRX.

Thanks in advance, Paul

I'm clueless!

Easy test - lock the car with the window wound down and then alarm the car.

If you can reach into the car (it will test ultrasonics) and open the door then if its got an alarm it will sound.

You will find that most imports DO NOT have an alarm as its not a Jap requirement.

Imports wouldn't have an alarm but think a cat 1 is required for sva testing and insurance so need to check urgent as if stolen might not be covered, my my05 jdm has factory fit immobiliser and aftermarket alarm upgrade

Does it not say on the V5 where and when the car was first registered?

As for checking for an alarm, look in the engine bay for a siren.

I presume you don't have any sensors beside the sun visors?
