hi i just had fault code p1131 came out i read in internet is the front lambda sensor but people are not sure could be rear one with the same code.So im looking for opinion what to do buy the new sensor or mayby any chance to go roun this.just to say exhaust is compleatly standart.please any suggestions guys

 

Is this the fault code the car went into the garage for on your other thread??

P1131 is a faulty front lambda (02) sensor ...........P0420 is the usual CEL code for a de-catted car which is thrown by the rear lambda sensor ......

yes that is i clear all my ecu codes turn engine again and thats the only one what was left,cur is bit lumpy above 5000 revs

 

this is big job to replace front o2 sensor or preatty easy if i can ask?

 

Sounds like a faulty sensor......not an unusual occurence. I'd have a look at some of the breakers on here and see if they have a spare (scoopy parts etc).

Apart from blacking out the CEL (allegedly as they say on HIGNFY) did the garage mention what the CEL was.

Are you handy with spanners ??

It's replaced via the offside drivers wheel arch......there's a couple of good guides on here....if you are handy with spanners LOL

IM ALRIGHT WITH SPANNERS,THEY DONT MENTION NOTHING BUT IS ALL FINE UP TO 5000 REVS THEY MY THINK IM NOT GONNA BE DRIVING FASTER I DONT NOW

i clear the codes with snap on solus thanks i see advise how to replace this looks right pain,i did replace o2 sensors from other cars what i was own that was right night mare,but i will try in worse can i have to replace exhaust?
