JDM Folding mirror conversion on 06 Hawkeye
Hello,
I have purchased a set of folding mirrors & a switch panel with button off a 2004 JDM Impreza & planning on fitting them to my 56 plate hawkeye wagon.
I have fitted the switch panel no problem, just had to swap the window switch section over due to wiring differences.
Has anyone done this conversion, if so what is the best way to wire them in as import male connectors are different to english ones, also would there be a relay already in the fuse box for this.
Regards
Paul

I've done it on a classic. No relay is required, you just pick up the feed off the mirror adjustment switch.
If it's like a classic, it needs TWO extra wires per side, the mirrors don't work unless BOTH wires are in place, current obviously flows one way to open, the other to close.
You should be able to either get a few connectors from a scrapper, or have a look here: www.vehiclewiringproducts.co.uk
I got some off a scapped Leggy.
