Default ABS light problem

Right, this problem only seems to have occured since i changed my rear lights back to standard items although it may be just a coincidence, but the car is fine all the time the lights are off, but when i turn the lights on the abs light comes on the dash? Why would this be? I think my front pads are running a little low but i dont think this would cause it, any help please? Leon

p.s i have a turbo 2000 year 2000

I would suggest you check first that the rear light connectors are OK, not corroded or rusted. Check that any earths are there and good.
Next check that all bulbs are as they should be: I once came across a Saxo someone had forced the wrong sort of bulb into the holder and it caused strange things to happen to the electrics.

Next, remove ONE light unit connector and see if the problem persists.
If it DOESN'T, the problem is on that side.

If it does, replace it and remove the other side.

This will make tracing it easier. Best of luck.
