No illumination behind left side of speedo
Hi folks,
I've lost illumination behind the left-hand side of my speedometer (MY00 UK Turbo). I'm guessing it's a bulb that's gone (?). What replacement part do I need and how do I go about taking the dash apart?
cheers,
Ben

Two screws, (Posidrive) under the top of the binnacle, you'll prob need a stubby screwdriver to remove them.
Work the binnacle out, it helps to drop the steering wheel to it's lowest position.
THREE more screws, (Posidrive), two lower, one upper, hold the instruments in position, remove them, it helps to use a magnetic screwdriver as they CAN drop off into the dash
Once they are out, pull the instruments forward, and release the wiring clips, then work the instruments out. NOT dead easy, but keep at it. they DO come. At this point, check that you haven't inadvertantly left the sidelight switch on top of the steering column ON.
The instrument lights are W5W bulbs in black holders on the rear of the panel, half twist to remove holder, pull bulb out.
For the price of the bulbs I'd replace them all, there are 6 AFAIK.
Replacement is a reverse of the above, and don't forget that sidelight switch once it's all back together
