Any opinions as to which are the best driving lights for the STi 7 (replacing the "blanks").

I have seen the 100W Cibies from MRT Rally in Australia for 499 AUS, but are there any other suppliers that offer a kit which includes brackets for the STi and wiring/relay etc?

Any advice appreciated?

You could try the PIAA kit - from Graham Goode and others here.

Good lamps, and work well.

The PIAA lamp brackets from the MY01 backwards should just bolt straight in (you may find the backplates with the three captive nuts are missing, you just need to obtain these from a Subaru dealer and slot them in place behind the moulded plastic lamp housing in the bumper).

I had an STi7 demonstrator. In the interests of science I took the curved prodrive cover off one side to see what was behind, 3mm stainless allen screws. The lamp mounting brackets were there with captive nuts but the mounting brackets for the curved cover are ugly enough that you couldn't just fit lights and run with no covers. My dealer says that curved covers with holes for driving or fog lights do exist but couldn't say where from, when available or how much.

Chelspeed is right - I didn't add in my original reply that the Prodrive Style car cannot be run without replacement covers with a hole in them or it leaves a dirty great ugly hole behind, but that's because I had assumed he wouldn't have a Prodrive Style car in New Zealand....could be wrong however as there are allegedly 250 or so Prodrive cars out there that didn't come to the UK.
