Sidelights not working
Hi all,
First-time Subaru owner, have got a MY99 Sport wagon.
The sidelights don't appear to turn on when clicking the stalk switch forward one position. I can hear a relay click inside the dash and the dials/dash controls light up, but all 4 lights outside stay dark. The parking light switch atop the steering column doesn't do anything either.
However when clicking the stalk switch forward once more to put the headlights on, the sidelights all turn on as expected, as well as the headlights. So it's not blown bulbs!
Does anybody have any clues? I've checked all the fuses and they're fine. Is it a relay that's knackered somewhere?
It's driving me mad because I'm having to drive around with the headlights on when I'd otherwise just use the sidelights. Either that or leave them off, which is just stupid.

Same thing happend to my sport a few years back.
It's a red 10amp fuse mate. Check the bulbs mostly on the rear to make sure they have the correct solder on them.
Think it's the one in the cabin itself your need to check if my memory is correct. Pull the coin tray down and should be there (again I think?)

I've checked all the fuses already, they're all fine. The bulbs themselves are all OK because they come on when the dipped headlights are on.
Am going to check the relays, hopefully I'll figure out which one it is...
