i have a problem with my classic my side lights and dashboard lights come on as soon as i turn on the ignition , i have checked parking switch on steering colom and thats not the problem no work been done recently any ideas???

Could be a faulty lighting switch. Dead easy to replace, can you borrow a known working one?

 

Do the front fogs come on atr the same time? If the front fog switch is pressed the sidelights and dash lights come on as well - the fog switch is easy to press by mistake as its where your fingers go when inserting / removing the ignition key!!
