Default Classic morette sidelight question

Finally got round to wiring up my sidelights in my morette outers. Led w5w in hand, I find that the bulb holder only has a single terminal inside. So my bulbs won't fit in.

Am I restricted to an old style bulb, or do I need to get new bulb holders?

Also, I have a H4 adapter on my headlights, to run the driving lamps. It looks a bit worse for wear, anyone know where I can get one of them from ?

On my Morettes, there wasn't a bulb holder, just a blanking grommet. I bought a pair of bulb holders from Vehicle Wiring Products Ltd. Suppliers of auto electrical parts..

Then I bought TWO pairs of bulbs: the first pai fit the holders, but wouldn't pass through the hole into the light.

I'm not sure what you mean by a H4 adaptor? Can you post pics?

Thanks. I suppose I'd better check my bulbs will fit through aswell.
I take it you got this:
As it is the only one I could see. Looks a bit big. I measured the current bulb holder in there, and its barely 12mm.

I'm sorted for the H4 adapter now. I got this: 2 Wiring Harness for Car Fog or Headlight Bulbs H4 NEW on eBay (end time 11-Mar-10 19:03:34 GMT)
Just so I can make my driving lights and Morettes plug and play.

Hi, not sure, mine were black and were just bulbholders, no rubber bits, no bullet connectors etc.
Try a local carshop.

What does that H4 adaptor DO?

I just want it so I don't have to splice up the original loom, its just like an extension plug.

Ah? Ok, I see. Can't you just use a Scotchlok?

Don't like them. Plus, I'll be running two feeds from each Full Beam, one for the driving lights, which are currently there now, and also one to finally set up my Morette inners.

I didn't really know these existed until I had a good look at my wiring. But it looks like someone had made the adapter themselves, lots of mastik on there.

You seem a bit sceptical about these, what don't you like about them? I can only see the benefits of them being plug and play, without damaging the standard wiring.

No, not sceptical at all.

I have both driving lights and Morettes on mine, both relays being fed from the same Scotchlok on the n/s mainbeam, neither of which have given trouble since fitting eight years ago. The wire feeding one loops to the other. As do all the earths, before going back to one ring terminal on the battery.

Now watch them start, now I've said that
