Default how to remove head unit

hi all,
i have got a dvd head unit to fit to my bugeye wrx but i cant see how to remove the old head unit.there are no obvious holes to put tools into etc,how do they come out?

There used to be a guide on here. From memory, remove the drinks holder which exposes some screws, remove them and pull the fascia away and down. The heater controls stay attached but you'll have plenty of room to swap the head units over.

its simple.as the above thread says,the trim around the headunit just pulls off and the head unit is then bolted in with 2 bolts.i have a 2003 blobeye and the plastic trim needed cutting down as the factory headunit is narrower than a standard din headunit .

yeah i found it needs trimming.i have refitted the standard one though.the screen flips out but cant go all the way up as it hits the dash behind it.and it would look stupid being mounted too far out of the dash.
