Default locking a car with no battery?

Numpty question but cant find the answer. If you disconnect the car battery, how can you lock the car and then get back in when you want to re-connect the battery again???? cheers

on my car the drivers door has a key hole, so you can lock all the other doors manually with the door buttons inside and lock the drivers door with the key.And to get in its the opposite

Wanted to check first.... Knowing my luck, I would have knackered the central locking if I didnt ask before trying.... Thank you!

What would they have done in the days before central locking, electric windows, heated rear screens, flashing indicators?

young`un....moi.! I wish I was matey. Just having a hard time with my scoob at the moment and anything I touch on it seems to go fooooookin wrong these days

Ha! Killed mine on 22nd August, big-end bearings. It finally went to Harvey at the end of Novemember, he's rebuilding it as a non-distressed rebuild, ie: at HIS pace, not mine.
