I have to replace the reverse switch on my Subaru Impreza Sport awd. I put the car up on ramps and had a look at the gearbox only to find that there are two identical switches in it. The only difference is that the one closest to the front of the car has black wires and the one closest to the rear has red wires.

Please any help which one is the reversing light switch?

plus what is the other one for?
