rear lights
hi,
i just bought a sti type r 1997, and the rear lights do not work. bulbs are ok, fuses are ok bit baffeled really anyone else had that problem, its really starting to annoy me now lol i will do a test to see if there is any power getting to the bulb but other than that bit confused on what it could be

How do you KNOW the fuses and bulbs are OK?
The reason I ask is because I have seen both that LOOKED OK, but on electrically testing them, they were dud.
IF they are OK, then a circuit tester/multimeter is useful to test for power to the bulbs, and also the mutimeter for a decent earth.
If one of those is the culprit, then it's down to tracing circuits until you find the problem.
Incidentally, you don't say if it's ALL the lights, or just the rear sidelights that don't work?

front side lights dont work and no back lights at all, front mains work and high beam
