Default Auto electrician advice req'd (ABS sol' drain)

Ive been having problems with the battery on my P1 draining when not used for a few days (last's approx 7 days on a Optima) so Ive hooked up a meter & started pulling fuses & found that when the ABS solenoid fuse (8) is pulled the mA drops by half, surely the ABS shouldnt be active while the ignition is off???

No other fuses that I could find made any difference.

The other thing I noticed is that when the ABS sol fuse is connected the mA alternates between 90mA & 125mA continuously in 3 sec intervals, this is still with the ignition off! Surely this cant be right either???

There's a continuous drain of just less than 50mA with the ABS fuse pulled, I assume this is from the alarm?

Any advice much appreciated.

Hi, is there anything else on that circuit or does it only feed the ABS? I'd use check for drain with the fuse in but with the ABS control module unplugged just to make sure it's not something else on the circuit, failing that i'd check the earth to the ABS pump if there is high resistance in the earth it's possible it could cause a drain.

Doesn't the manual tell you? I'd have a look in my manual, but the car is in having the wife's latest mod sprayed out of the rear bumper

Yeah I got a few of those on my other motor

Owners manual doesnt tell us nothing. Ive got a pukka manual that I downloaded but cant seem to find any info giving what systems are on each fuse. Ive also skimmed through all the wiring diagrams looking for other systems that feed from fuse 8 & came up with nothing

Just to top it off I just tried to start it so I can check if anything else doesnt work with the fuse out & guess what..... wont start, battery dead!
