Hey all,
Anyone have a wiring diagram of the steering wheel console? I need to find out which wire to connector block plugs into the back of the Console is the Engine Fault light.
I'm hoping the wire will have enough "signal" to flick on a 5 amp relay so I can run other after market warning LEDs from it.

WHAT !
No way an LED feed will feed a relay, you will need a decent spec transistor to switch that kind of load, and protect it from the reverse emf spike, that the relay coil will produce as it switches off.
DON'T DO IT ! Further research required. IMHO

Dunx, good man, thanks. I'm no sparky hence raising the question...I'll have to think of another way...will be interesting fix though (when I find it lol). Might just have to buy box of tricks that reads revs with external led and use that, totally sep to ecu wiring and engine fault then.

Too many years since I was designing stuff like that, but a simple transistor + a few resistors would drive multiple LEDS.
Try Maplins for a simple book on electronic circuits, they could probably sort all you need if you get a staff member with a brain !

P.S. My branch are pretty switched on, no pun intended.

Thanks again Dunx, tops.
I'm not sure how I'll take any type of signal from the console as of yet as I've still to confirm which wire gets the signal from ecu for engine fault light. Think at the back it just looks like a printed circuit board, none of it is simple I guess.
Maplins, got one down the road, will see what they're like - I'll be the dumb customer that's for sure lol.
