Picking up my first ever Impreza next week (2005 MY) it's a standard car with the factory fitted stereo, can anyone advice on fitting an ipod connector, is one available, does the stereo have an Aux in-put to the rear or sadly do i have to replace the headunit.

Your help is much appreciated.

Kenwood do an ipod adaptor. KCA-iP500. That should fit. Have a look on ebay and you might get one there.

 

The standard head unit is dreadful.

Look on the need for an i-pod as a golden opportunity to fit a decent head unit.

You can buy an adaptor from Subaru that allows a standard single din head unit to fit the double din hole with a useful oddments pocket below it. Part no 66128AE000 for about £15.

 

Look at my profile to see the subaru pocket in place, Easy to fit, all I did was make a hole in the back of the pocket to fit my iPod lead through.
