I have 1995 uk spec wagon. i want to link an alarm wire to the boot light it works if i switch it to on constantly, but i need it to work when the boot opens, where is the trigger switch located?

Do you know if its a replaceable switch or is it the full latch assembly would need replacing?

 

why whats up with the one you have fitted ?

 

its not switching the boot light on when i open it, i need the trigger to link to my alarm
i could just add a pin switch but i would rather not drill if i dont have to

 

sounds like the wire is not connected to the switch matey just have a look at it ,its only 1 wire
