Hella FF1000
The Cibie Oscar +s have died (rusted to dust) on my MY99 uk turbo. When working they were not too bad but ate bulbs so I want to try something else. I seem to remember that the above got good reviews. Searching the web I can only seem to get hits in the USA. Can we get them this side of the pond? Or indeed does anyone have any other lamp suggestions? Brackets would be handy too.

They WERE available as akit from dealers and other, (TSL, for example), around the time of the bugeye. I'd imagine the same people can still get them.
The lights are fine, but the brackets aren't.
They suffered from vibration, being a fairly springy one point fixing, and setting them up was a nightmare, involving removing them with their brackets to tighten them, hoping the setting was not lost, refitting, etc etc
PIAA's should still be available, and are worth the extra.
Alternatively, buy some Hella 1000FF HID's and I'll PM you the dimensions of the barckets you'd need to get made for them.

Tks Alcazar I'll try and see if I can find PIAA ones. Hope they don't drain the bank. HIDs would be brilliant I'm sure but to be honest its not my main driver now so couldn't justify the expense.

Graham Goode used to do kits, I had some "legs" welded to PIAA pod mounts and fitted pod mount lights with H4 bulbs to mine, Demon Tweeks.
