a stray wire
I have a STi 5 rear bench to install in my Sport, but to get my current split fold OE seats out, I have to cut a wire which runs through the base of the seat bench. Now I think the wire goes to the boot light. Once I have disconnected the battery and then cut the wire, removed the seats, when I come to re wire up the blue wire it won't be long enough to solder back together. What do I do? Please bare in mind I am a complete novice at things like this.
Cheers

Were it me, I'd get hold of some more wire, the same diameter, (not necessarily the same colour, but it helps, and solder in a piece so that the wire can be safely re-routed away from the seat base.
Try Yell.com the UK's local search engine - search for UK businesses and search car electrics, someone may sell you a short length and a couple of bits of heat shrink.
Also try car accessory shops, Halfords and Vehicle Wiring Products Ltd. Suppliers of auto electrical parts.
