Default bugeye sti headlights with xenons

i might be getting these from a breakers
will they be a stright swap for the original clear ones i have??
sumbody told me the xenons were jap ones?? i dunno

Wiring is different, both for the lights and for the height adjusters. There's a guy who makes adaptor looms for a reasonable price who's posted on here in the past. China jack or something like that is his user name.

Yes these are jap spec. People have to change them for UK spec ones when they import because EU rules say you can't pass the import approval test (SVA) with xenons without headlight washers and auto level adjustment.

After SVA they're technically still not legal but zero chance of getting caught and no problem with MOT's. Extra light is well worth it so if they come up just do it. Make sure you get the ballasts with the lights.

Ask the breakers... if you are lucky they could be uk units with HID kits added, like mine !

I made my own loom, couple of connectors off ebay and bob's your uncle.





I ended up using a nissan 350Z ballast as the impreza one was missing from my lights when they arrived, but the principle was the same.

I got my wiring looms for the guy in the above post they are first class!

I thing he's know as Wagons Ho on here!

thanks ppl, hopefully i'll get the loom... get rid of the original clear ones which ireckon look gay.

I think there ok!

But i think there are wiring issuses with them to!
