Another Scooby De-Tango'd!! - With advice..
Hi all,
Well I just finish taking out the mingin orange bit from my headlights and thought I would add to Talizman's post
http:/bbsscoobynet.com/projects-40/261820-de-tango-my03-headlights.html about removing the headlight unit.
He mentions taking out the 2 wee philips screws that hold the headlight against a plastic bracket which is bolted to the slam panel nearest to the grille. They are a real fiddle to get to unless you can take your eyes out and put them under the light unit to see what you are doing and also bend your hand into a few different positions!
I followed the advice of Naturbo2000 and took the grille off which is held on with 6 clips if I remember rightly, then there is just one 10mm bolt to undo which is easily accessible rather than the 2 philips screws. Which you can then undo once the light unit is out.
My only other problem was wiggling the light about to pop the 2 clips that locate inside the wing, what a bitch they were. Just needed a bit of force which I was a bit scared to give, but it worked.
Anyway, hope this helps anyone to is planning the mod.
Jonny.
