hi,
im havin a problem with my A/C on my 2006 impreza.
the compressor seized up the other day so i replaced it for it to seize again.
found there is alot of dirt and crap inside the pipes,but how it got there is unknown?!

has anyone had similar problems?

By no way am I an expert I just happen to have had a compressor failure on my 5 series. Independent air-con expert recommended changing nearly the complete system as he reckoned that iron filings from compressor would be all through system. If all wasn't changed he reckoned another compressor failure within 12 months. Beemer waranty their parts for 2 years. I let BMW fix the system (replace compressor) just before Christmas and it hasn't let go yet.

that would be my guess aswell compressor bearings failing filling system with crap and then wrecking another compressor.

i would suggest getting the a/c system flushed out somehow before changing another.
