Mornin' all

I have a problem. A mate has an MY01 which had PIAAs fitted by the dealer. He's taking them off to sell 'em before chopping the car in. Having fitted PIAAs myself, I uninstalled 'em for him.

Everything went to plan. The PIAAs were switched through the main beam, spliced from the back of the driver's side headlamp. This feed then ran into the passenger cabin to the back of the fog-light switch. They've hacked all the wires off, and soldered onto the bottom two lugs to allow override. Makes sense.

So, the connector for the back of the front fog switch needs reconnecting.

There's 6 cut wires (2 black, 2 purple, 1 yellow, 1 red with green stripe) on the back of the connector.

We can only find five wires coming from the wiring loom (2 black, 2 purple, 1 yellow, NO red with green stripe). Black=ground for illumination, purple=illumination, yellow=+12v when lights are on, red/green=cable to the relay to the lights.

So we have no clue where this wire is.

Could any kind soul tell us where to find the sodding thing? Every other wire to the back of the switch was in a common bundle and I cannot believe that someone would remove the wire competely!?!?!!!

Shot in the dark, I know, but all help gratefully received!

Chiark

There's only 5 wires to the plug, not 6.

2 blacks, 2 violets and 1 yellow/white
