reverse lights not working?

i have 95 uk impreza, my reverse lights not working, i have changed the bulbs but still dont work? can anyone help?

Most likely the switch on the gearbox. I have to hold mine in reverse to get the lights on. Tried that?

is the switch cheap to replace? and how difficult to fit?
