Post Help please...Head light problems.

Hi,

Can anyone point me in the right direction?

When my headlights are on dip, the driver’s side dip bulb is lit as normal but the full beam driver’s side is dimly lit? On the passengers side both full and dip are dimly lit?

When I switch onto full beam the passengers side both go off and only get full beam on drivers side.

If I disconnect the passenger side headlight the driver’s side works as should dip only on dip and both full and dip on full beam setting.

Any help greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Allan

I was thinking that myself but was unsure of how to track it down.

I've switched round the dip bulb holders and it's still the same, so that rules them out.

It'll be a poor earth somewhere.

You're going to have to trace the wires backwards from the headlight giving trouble, until you find the bad connection or dodgy earth.

Be prepared to slit looms open, so have soom loom tape, (non-sticky) available.

Voltage on drivers dip is 13 - 14V but on the dimly lit passengers side it's only 5V??
