Driving along today and I pulled up behind another car and could see in its reflection that my sidelights were on.
I hadn't put them on and the stalk confirmed I had not put them on.
Parking lights, I thought, but no, I hadn't accidently knocked it on.

So why are they on? They go off when I switch the ignition off and on when I switch it on again.

Any ideas?

have you not knocked the parking light switch ,on the centre of the steering wheel couling ?
