Ok as several people mention on here lol, the standard heads on my MY99 uk turbo2000 are worthless. Can anyone recommend a simple upgrade to make them a bit better while I save for an HID upgrade

Most people got for the cheap aftermarket HID kits - as a quick fix option (due to the level of glare they often give off, be expected to be flashed by coming traffic)

Others go for the PIAA driving light upgrade https://www.scoobynet.com/lighting-o...-lamp-kit.html

Me..... RETROFIT! https://www.scoobynet.com/lighting-o...t-project.html

Hope it helps

Yep my lights are crap as well. There ok till another car comes the other way. Was looking at getting some them ebay light with Projector in, But as i bought a HID kit from the group buy here, i got only single bulb on a H7 to fit my old scooby with morettes. Shame i crashed it before they arrived.

So now iam stuck with a single bulb set on H7's and my new my99 has a bi-bulb on a H4, so need to look at the kit and see if i can get away with just buying some H4 bi bulbs,

or

Get some new single spots morettes and which come with the H4 to H7 convertor lead and use my HID kit.

You could go for a decent quality HID kit https://www.scoobynet.com/group-buys...-groupbuy.html

Good strong beam, doesn't produce lots of scatter. Never been flashed in the year that I have had them on my car.

Very good upgrade

Thumbs up

I have the piaa driving light kit on my rb5, got them from scoobyworld:

Lighting - Impreza 1993-2000 : Lighting - Impreza 1993-2000 : PIAA Driving Lamps - 1993-2000 p/n pk661psb [t_piaadrivinglamp.jpg] - £239.99

The rb5 comes with these as standard but mines were rusty so i got the new ones....theyre amazing!!

Hoping to fit a HID kit in the near future too so i hope to have a very good light set-up very soon!!
