Default wing mirror problem :(

I have a 2002 UK bugeye and iv just bought a set of jdm mirrors for it. The connectors were different so i chopped them and switched my uk ones onto them. Everything worked fine until i tried to de-mist my rear windscreen and they folded in! And as my cars a uk i dnt have a button to unfold them :/
Now im not bothered about havind folding mirrors but i would like a way of unfolding them! lol
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

cheers
jon

Seems like you got yourself a set of folding mirrors hence the differnt plugs. One of the wires you swapped controls teh folding motor. Either disconnect that, or buy the folding switch and wire that wire to the switch.

Well just give voltage to one of the other wires, until it opens.
