Default Seat Belt Warning Tone

Hi Folks

Can anyone tell me how I can disable the warning BEEEEEP BEEEEEP on a MY06 NewAge. It's drives me nuts even for the 30 seconds or so it takes me to buckle up on the move.

Thanks

Simple, buckle up before you set off It is the LAW after all 30s to put your belt on Takes me about 2s with my left hand whilst I'm sliding the key in with my right, so really no time whatsoever. One day someone might plough into you head on 20s into your journey and you'll be glad I advised you

Yes Yes, I know all that. but there are times when I want to back the car out of my garage or move it across the car park at work etc. where there is 1) no need for a belt and 2) no legal requirement. Furthermore, I have a CG Lock fitted, which makes the process a little more awkward.

Its been mentioned on here before - try a search!, IIRC if you unplug the connector under the seat then the alarm doesn't sound, was going to try myself, but it was easier & safer to just wear the seat belt

The alarm doesnt go off unless you are doing 10mph - I doubt whether you will do 10 mph reversing out of your garage.

Unplugging the connector under the seat disables the Airbags too and lights that warning light - not really what you want.

On my car, MY04, the plug under the seat just goes into the seat belt connector, no onward connection to anything else. Which airbags do you mean the side ones in the seat bolsters? There's certainly no airbag warning light. It's been disconnected for at leat 3 years and had 5 services and an MOT since then without any mention of it.

And yes I always have the belts on when I'm driving.

on the MY06 it has side air bags in the seat (hence the changed seat) - the question was about a MY06 car.
