I have both PIAA driving lights and spot lights on two different Scooby Wagons. I was told the spots would have too narrow a beam but that has not been my experience.
Both sets came, about 2 years apart from David Reid of DRmotorsport in Scotland and both at a good price.
Like I said, both kits are complete with brackets, loom, relay and switch etc.
The messy part of the job is actually adjusting them to point where you want and locking in that position.
They make night into day and both sets can come on with full beam if I am going cross country or they can be left of for urban or motorway driving.
They certainly allow for increased speed, safely at night.

You have no chance of fitting the fog light covers. These are proper spotlights to turn night into day not fashion accessories that you can put a cover over.
If you e-mail me I will send you a couple of pictures with PIAAs fitted.

Would you align them with the main beam on aswell or ust wire up a temp circuit to just have the driving lamps on so to get them setup properly??

they reach twice as far as the headlights so setting up with headlights on is not a problem, apparently some people may have fitted illegal 100w bulbs available in halfords (about £6-7 each) to further increase light.

Lamps to come on with full beam with facility for full beam only and no PIAAs
Find a flat car park or similar with a wall at one end. Industrial estates are usually good.
Have some chalk, preferably white.
Set your PIAAs to what you think is level with the road and straight ahead.
The three retaining 12mms (from memory) holding the triangular mounting plates are tight but the lock nut is semi loose tight.
Drive up to the wall in the dark (to within a few inches) and with the lens parallel to the vertical wall, mark the centre of each PIAA beam.
Disconnect both headlight plugs at the bulb and one PIAA.
Reverse back a reasonable distance in a straight line on the level surface and move the remaining PIAA, the only forward light working so that it picks up the mark denoting its centre on the wall.
Tighten the retaining nut(s) so the Piaa is now locked in position.
Repeat for other side then replug the two headlights, rev up and bu..er off before the polis arrive and do an MOT on your car.

Ok. So stone chips were a concern of mine and I got white plastic covers that had the PIAA logo in black on them. They were only £10 secondhand and should not be a lot of money from a PIAA dealer. I use David Reid of DRMotorSport in Scotland.
They just push on and don't look too bad.
Look weird in the night when the covers are left on with the spots ON but I think you would eventually melt them.
Having run a full winter with them off, I now run completely without and probably have done on one or two cars for an agrgate of 2.5 - 3 years with no damage.
My only concern is condensation build up inside the lamp which over a hard weather three year period has resulted in the need for a replacement of 2 lenses. I am siliconing the glass to back seal and will pay more attention to the bulb rubber seal.
On two cars I have replaced 3# bulbs in 3yrs so I cannot complain. You can get 130w if you look for them and Halfords sell 120w but trade motor factors have them too. Avoid paying the robbing and ridiculous PIAA prices.
Group buy on these plastic covers?
Put me down for two sets, possibly three.

Getting at the plugs is tricky even in full daylight. I cut card-board flaps and used masking tape to cover the lamps I wasn't aligning: worked fine. No damage to paint, either.

I love my PIAA's to bits and think they are phenomenal to be honest. Mine come on with my full beam and they really do turn night in to day as others have said. One of the very favourite things about her tbh. When people do dumb stuff like cut me up in the dark, the get out of the way pretty damn sharpish when I flash them, no joke . Currently mine are broke due to a loose connection in the left lamp and the fact that one of the the unbelievably hard to get to middle bracket bolts has rounded it's head despite being as careful as poss unsiezing it. I miss them .
