Twin headlight wiring
Hi, i have a twin light conversion on my car. (96 STI) and the inner lights do not work. Checked the wiring and there are a few wires disconnected at the relay. Does anyone have a wiring diagram or can point me in the right direction.
Many thanks.

If they are Morettes, (if so, they will be using Cibie light units), then the inners need a realy, as you have noted.
Wiring to the relay is as follows, (all numbers refer to the terminals on the bottom of the relay, which should be numbered. If they aren't, substitute a new relay, on/off type, available at Halfords, carshops etc, for about £5).
Terminal 85 should be connected to the main beam wire at the rear of one of the headlights, usually the n/s. This is often done by a Scotchlok-type connector, check it is making good contact.
Terminal 86 should go to earth, mine always goes back to the battery
Terminal 30 should come FROM the battery +ve, via a fuse if your relay doesn't have one incorporated.
Finally, terminal 87 goes to the two inner lights.
Remember to check if the inners are earthed, again, preferably back to the battery.
