Headlight adjustment
#1
Has anyone out there tried adjustng their headlights, either themselves or by a garage? Any improvement?
Reason I ask is that I have been progressively adjusting my lights over the last week or so, and I now seem to have a beam pattern that helps me to see but doesn't dazzle other drivers. Not perfect by any means, but a lot better than it was.
How much does it cost to get headlights checked out anyway?

Yep... Got the garage to adjust mine on my new WRX and thought it was worse than before. So found a quiet bit of road. Some chalk and an old coat (to cover each headlight in turn). Covered one h/light, adjusted that until I was happy. Marked the cut off point with the chalk and adjusted the other to suit. Now much better. Though would still like proper g/discharge h/lights for the price of a new UK WRX!!! As these are the only thing that make a serious difference. Got Osram 50% jobbies in the h/lights and driving light conversion. But still consider the dipped are pretty average (crap!).
Enjoy...

Agree, they're never going to be more than adequate, but as you've seen there is quite an improvement from setting them up.
I've been doing mine incrementally, went out last night and I think I've gone a bit too far with the offside, will wind it back in (and down) today!!!
