Default Fitting facelift headlights to a pre facelift classic....

Can't seem to get crystal headlights that are a direct swap for pre-facelift classics, so got some for the facelift version.

Is a facelift grille all I need... or do I absolutely need a facelift bonnet aswell?

As long as the lights fit for now (with a facelift grille) I'll be happy... even if the spacing between the bonnet and lights/grille does look a bit off...

Cheers

Question

IIRC, you can do it without either the grille or the bonnet, but don't expect the shutlines to be perfect. Changing the grille does make it a bit better, but you'll need a bonnet to get it spot on

BTW: why crystal lights? You'd have been better saving for, and fitting Morettes. they look good and you can actually SEE where you're going

Cheers. Personally I don't like the morettes. So I'd prefer the crystal look over a standard "frosted" appearance. I'm replacing them out of necessity, had a slight knock on the passenger side which knocked the side light out of the car and broke the brackets on the headlight....

I'll just go for the grille for now and a bonnet at a later stage... saving for some new wheels... and brakes... and lots of other things which I'd put 1st over a bit of irregular spacing at the front

Was that aftermarket grille completely necessary? Would the original need carved, or did you just upgrade that aswell out of want not need?

Cheers

Looks well btw
