Changing sidelight bulb how???
I have just noticed on my 53plate WRX that one of my front sidelight bulbs is rather dim. On closer inspection i have noticed that i can not change the bulb without removing the headlight. I took the top two bolts out but the headlamp unit is still stuck. Any ideas on how they come out?

The first part of this thread tells you how they come out.Once all the bolts are out its just a case of pulling them away from 2 small 'ball sockets',but go steady that you don't scratch your bumper as they come away

It's easier than it sounds. The only bit that may kerfuffle you first time around is pulling the unit off the adjuster ball/socket as it takes some force.
Just looking at that guide it doesn;t mention loosening bumper, which if you have an owners manual is easily explained (few clips) under parking light bulb removal iirc..? If you don;t have one let me know and I'll send you a copy. Basically it enables you to move the top of the front bumper out slightly which easies removing headlight.
As mentioned be careful about catching wing as it's quite tight..

My other options are put up with it for the ime being or get my dealer to do it? I dont mind pulling motorbikes to bits or old cars but not my pride and joy.

Yep, just need small hands
On the offside you need to remove the bottle, this simply pulls out but you can still keep the pipes connected.

Never guess what i managed to do it. I am sure you have to be a dwarf to get your hands in. I am a bit unsure that i got the clip back on properly but i have been out in the car and its still working.
