Question sidelights staying on, can't switch off!

Hi Guys,

In need of some smart help. 98 wrx wagon, sigma S30 fitted.
Bloody sidelights won't turn off regardless of position of light stem (or light switch on top of steering column) and ignition. I have to disconnect the battery every time I park up.

Cheers for the solutions

Turn off the parking light switch on top of the steering column.

Maybe you should look at the time of the replies and the time of the edit to include the parking light bit

Has the switch on top of the steering column failed.

Or has the cables become exposed and shorting on the steering column.
