Guys,

I've got a pair of Scoobysport Cibies fitted to my car but I'm not really that impressed with them. I think they are set up ok but they don't seem to have much range to them.

Currently I have 100Watt bulbs in them, will 130W bulbs make that much difference?

I drive mostly minor A and B class roads so I could do with a bit more light power!

Cheers,
Chris

Nope... Doubt if you will notice any difference.

I've never been able to run mine with more than 55w bulbs without them blowing (100w's lasted a few weeks... but still go). This is in three different Scoobs. Hope you have more luck...

I used to get bulbs blowing but since Pete started using Ring bulbs I haven't had any more problems (cue both going tonight!)

The new bulbs have been in for a year now and during the winter they get used for 10-15 minutes a day. They are 130w, never tried 100w.

The biggest problem with them is that when you come off main beam you are plunged into darkness even with upgraded headlight bulbs.

Hi Chris

They are definitely better with 130w.

As Mike Owen continues to remind everyone, he has had a problem with 130w bulbs, as have two other customers. Nearly 2000 people haven't.

I'd strongly recommend you try a pair.

The only thing brighter is HID driving lights, but these are much more expensive.

By the way, still got the Psion and use it often. Thanks Chris

Had my cibies fitted for a couple of weeks now and mega impressed.
I drive country lanes to and from work and they make the dark nights seem like day light. As Doc rightly says though when you come off main beam the headlights really are dim, even again with up graded brighter bulbs.

Cool

I was not satisfied with mine when I first got them, however try looking at the bulbs to see if the inserted correctly. Mine certainly were not when I got them from Scoobysport.

The bulb must be pushed right home until the lugs are located other wise you get lots of light but no beam. Be carefull when you check them its easy to break the metal to glass bond and hence the wire inside.

Certainly the bulbs dont last very long 6-8 months tops if you use them regularly.

Tried to get my hands on a set of 130W bulbs today with no joy.
Anyone have any idea where I can order them on the net?
How much are you selling them for Mr Croney?

Cherrrs,
Chris
