I'm looking for an alarm guru to help me out, I'm trying to get my spare keyfob for GT 136/142 Cat 1 alarm going. I've just put a new battery in it, after it had been sitting for a long period with no battery. The green light comes on, but it doesn't unlock/lock the car. Does it need reprogramming, and if so anyone know how? I've seen them for sale "with programming instructions" e.g.:

But anyone know how to program them/do they 'forget' if left for a long period without battery/is it just knackered?!
