Default Ignition switched +12v

Please help me before I have to spend the day with a volt meter, starting the car every couple of minutes.
The car is a 55 plate UK STi.
Does anybody know where I can pick up a +12v feed that becomes live only when the engine has started?
The radio etc, all become live when the ignition key is turned to stage two (but the engine is not started) and is not what I am after. Total additional load is approx 15watts.

TIA
Steve

The usual placve to do this is at the alternator. The thin wire should only be live at ignition two clicks, (Starting, engine running).

I say "usual", as that's where caravaners pick up that live for fitting split charge relays, or caravan fridge relays.

Thanks.
I have some experience of split charge systems so that was going to be my last resort. I was just hoping there would be an easier and more convenient location in the car.
I want it to feed the self protection suite, ("garage door opener", radar and gps detectors). I do not like the fact that they all bleep as you hit stage two of the ignition, then go off as you turn the engine over, and then bleep again when the engine is running.
What does everybody else do with your hard wired in detectors?
