Default Sti dials into a UK car?

I know this can, and has been done with MY99/00 cars without too much trouble, but has anyone doen it with a MY98??

I've got a set of dials off eBay and am hoping that they are from a V4 Sti. They were a reasonable price, so I'm not too worried if they don't fit....I'll just re-sell them.

I know Ravensblade did the mod to an RS model, but it involved mods by Cobb Tuning.

Any information very much appreciated.

I wonder if these people that re-set service lights and stuff can do anything with the odometer reading? Would be nice to get it correct. I know I'll need a kmh/mph convertor....is it an electronic box of whizz bangery and does it then change the odometer AND speedo to read in MPH??

Cheers

Update and BTT:

For anyone else looking at this job, I've found some info:

http://www.rs25.com/forums/showthread.php?t=19715

I'm thinking along the lines of JDM V4 wiring harness off the instrument panel, into my standard UK wiring harness under the dash............anyone got a spare???

I'll also need an electronic speedo convertor.

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.....can of worms????
