Question Big Voltage Drop on Rear Demister - Normal?!

I've just repaired a load of broken wires on the loom going through to the bootlid (Wagon) and although everything now works again, I noticed there is a very large voltage drop on the way to the rear demister - with the engine running 14.4V at the battery but 11.3V at the rear screen heater, with engine off 12.2V at battery and 9.8V at heater. Anyone know if this is this normal? Am concerned where all that heat is being generated!

Thanks, Aaron
