Say i'm putting a boost gauge in a i need a live feed

Permanent live or switched live?

Permanent can be found at the rear of the hazard warning lights, switched at the rear of the heated rear windscreen switch, both close to where most gauges go.

i just want to a live feed for the lights on my boost guage, which colour wires do I need to take a feed from?
