Default electric folding mirrors

anyone,

this has probably been asked a million times before but
is it possible to fit electric folding mirrors to a uk scooby p1 what do you need and where can you get it form

Yep. Done it myself.

You need to get hold of the mirrors from a Japanese Import version car (ie the STI4 or 5) You will also need the switch from the centre consol from the same car.

Then, just swap out the mirrors with the ones on the car, and swap the switch over too, and Voila!!

The switch looks like this..........

Depends!! You can get the mirrors and switch from a breakers, but I was getting quotes of £100 odd for the mirrors, and £25 for the switch!!!

Then you have to paint them the right colour etc........

I was dead lucky to get a set including the switch off of here for a bargain price. They were even Sonic Blue so no need to re-paint

Keep an eye-out on Flea-Bay as they sometimes crop up on there.

HI IVE DONE A WRITE UP ON THESE HOW TO FIT YOU NEED TO RUN 2 EXTRA WIRES IL FIND THE WRITE UP AN POST IT ON HERE FOR YOU

I have recently fitted a pair to my 99 uk classic as i was taking them apart for spraying i broke the glass does anyone know where i can get replacement glass from i have tried a few local car part stores with no luck.

Its pretty tricky getting just the glass, as they are import only, so Subaru UK can't help.

Roger Clark Motorsport should be able to get mirror glass for you they have very good suppliers!

Asked a couple of the sellers on ebay. They are the type of glass you stick over the broken mirror.

I broke mine and my local Subaru dealer got me a replacement.They seem to be able to get anything for an import!
