Crystal headlights
Hi,
I need to replace my std broken lights on my MY00 sti type r v.ltd and was thinking of either getting a set from ebay or morrettes. 1st of all, can anyone recommend a seller on ebay for them? I dont want to end up with crap quality ones if i do go for them. 2nd, any opinions out there on whether i should keep the std set up of go with the morrette's? (will be converting to HID at some point).
Cheers,
Doug.

Classic OE headlights, and classic Morettes use an H4 twin filamnet bulb for the outer "Dip/Mainbeam" pair of lights.
No-one yet makes an actual dip/mainbeam HID lamp, so all sorts of novel solutions are tried, the best of which seems to give good dip, but poor main beam.........given that you have an extra pair of main beams with morettes, most people accept it, for the dip capability.
Another method is to convert the morettes to dip only on the outers.
The quad conversions that are available on e-Bay, non-Morette, seem to be dip only outers anyway, but they also seem to go out when the inners come on This is a fairly easy mod if you go that way.
HTH, Alcazar
BTW: my choice, on that model, would be Morettes with PVP or GE Megalight outers, plus a set of decent driving lights where the OE foglights fit.
